School spirit? i don't remember having school spirit when i was in high school. but there sure are some spirits at BHS. the first football game of the season was last friday. i have never seen so many people dressed in blue and white! i'm not kidding- over half the school of about 3000 kids. and they weren't just wearing their football jerseys and cheer uniforms, these kids had painted their faces and sprayed their hair. blue and white from head to toe!

and then, just after the pledge, the marching band (one of them, there are two) came marching down the halls playing the fight song. wow. weird. it brought a tear to my eye (and i don't really know why)
and then...

the pep rally. whooo hoooo! 3000 kids yelling and screaming indoors is not fun. but hey, it got the kids going. nextime, i think i'll skip it though. it was a bit much. I do love my new job, though, and the new school is awesome!
yay! happy day!

I vaugly remember being forced to go to a pep rally once a year or so. Hey, I guess it beat siting through Spanish II, right? :)

Hmmm...football...oh yeah! That's the thing they do before and after the marching band plays isn't it? I remember that a little bit too. :P I'm really glad you're liking your new job. Don't let those kids see you cry! They can sense weakness y'know. lol

I'm so glad that you like the new school. It probably makes getting up in the morning that much easier.

I loved that type of crap. It's campy, I know, but having very little to no athletic ability, I apprecite those who can demonstrate better hand-eye coordination.

Love and miss you!

I recall suffering through a couple pep rallies in High school. After a while, the 3 of us (you me and Meesh) would go to the drama room instead of attending. June would give us shit a little and then enjoy our company. The couple I remember going to, I think the kids at our school thought they were too cool to get jazzed up. But I also think football is more important in other parts of the country. i think we went to the anti-high school.

Glad to hear you are enjoying 'school'. Can't wait to read about more adventures in AZ.

big hug
